"A Hometown 4th Of July Tradition"

Liberty 5k "Let Freedom Run"


The 5k course will begin and end at the American Legion Post 444 in Baraga. The entire course is paved. Runners will experience a mixture of even, steady roads and some hills. The "Drive-In Hill" being the daunting task of this scenic course. Runners should dress appropriately as wind from Lake Superior may occur.

5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles) - Race begins and ends at American Legion. Strollers are permitted. No bicycles or pets please. Water stations will be available throughout course.

Youth 1 Mile Fun Run - This fun run will also begin and end at the American Legion. Kids will run to the Baraga Armory and back. Prizes for top finishers will be awarded.

If you are not interested in participating in the run/walk events but still want to be a part of this event, day-of volunteers are also needed! Duties would include help with registration table, goody bag distribution, water table attendants through out the race course, and other day of duties that will occur.
